I’ve been praying for Jonah for 3 months now. Here is an entry from his Mommy’s blog. So precious.

an update
If for some reason you’ve been under a rock (I don’t mean that unkindly, by the way) and haven’t heard, we are moving back to Kentucky on November 3. God has blessed us much during our time in New Mexico (one of the most beautiful states in America, I think) with great friends, a great church family, and great food (LOL), to say the least. However, we have affirmation that God is drawing our time here to a close and for that reason will be headed back east very soon.
If you could remember our family in prayer during this time, we would greatly appreciate it. Our biggest request: for the quick sale of our home!
prayer request
One of our church members, Jim, passed away late last night. He was being life-flighted to Albuquerque and apparently passed away in flight, from what David and I understand. Jim was a cheerful, fairly young, very kind man and has a wife who can light up any room with her sense of humor and wit. Please pray for Jim’s family. Jim is with the Lord. What a sight he must be seeing for the first time today! Pray especially for his wife, Miss Maida, who I worked with at Curves, and has blessed my heart time and time again.
more on Maria Chapman
Here is the memorial site that was created today.
Please pray
I got this email from my friend, Janie, a few minutes ago. My heart is so broken for this family. Please read this letter and pray for the Chapman family:
Happy Mother’s Day!
In case I don’t get time to post tomorrow, I wanted to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mommies out there. Enjoy your day. You make such a difference- don’t forget that!
And a little secret for you…
come closer…
a little closer…
are you ready?
Baby King #4 is due to make an appearance January 2009! We would covet your prayers as we once again set out on this wonderful blessed journey. I am so thankful! Thank you Jesus!
a niece!
Prayers please for my sister who was admitted to the hospital tonight to be induced tomorrow morning. She will be 40 weeks tomorrow and, although I don’t agree with her doctor’s decision to induce (because I had 2 yucky inducements), I am still very excited and can’t believe I will finally be an aunt!
Please pray for a healthy delivery, healthy mom, healthy baby, etc. And most of all- that she wouldn’t need a c section! Thanks!
second wednesday in a row
that my husband has been at church…and the rest of us have been home.
Today’s diagnosis: pinkeye. You were right, Marlene.
Something else is up with Noah, however. I believe the boys have pinkeye, but Noah also has a 102 degree fever and is pitifully lethargic. When you ask him what is wrong he says “my tongue” or “my mouth”. That is what he has said every single time he has had strep throat.
The doctor refused to see him today for a strep swab (don’t get me started on how I oftentimes feel about the medical community). A strep swab takes 5 minutes and could have ensured that he be on antibiotics TODAY and not have to wait another 24 hours.
Why is this so important, you ask? I love my children and of course I place their health above any of my own desires. However, their father and I were going to be going away on our first weekend alone in almost 6 months this weekend and now I can hardly see that happening. If the boys would have had a few day’s worth of antibiotics in their bodies then they would have no longer been contagious and it wouldn’t have been an issue for the sitter, but now I hardly see that being the case. I guess we’ll expect a miracle, but prepare for reality. I know I sound like I am overreacting, but David is very upset about this (he has been very stressed lately and greatly wanted a weekend away alone) and I am sad too=(
Well alright, since I have seriously bummed out all who have laid eyes on this post, I shall conclude. Please be in prayer for us, however, as times are stressful and sickly right now.
Jadon is home
Please pray for our dear friends from college. The Temple family is headed back from Korea with their 11 month old son that they just adopted, Jadon Min-Su. Visit their site for specific ways to pray, especially regarding Jadon’s separation anxiety.
Prayer Request
Please pray for Gracelyn. She is the daughter of our friends, The Ferraros. Click here to see their specific requests.
